Prof. Eda Machado de Souza is President and Founder of Higher Education Institute of Brasilia University (Centro Universitário IESB), one of the most respected institutions of higher learning in Brazil. Previously, she worked 18 years in public service and served as coordinator of the UNESCO Chair of Distance Learning.
Machada has been recognized for her work by numerous awards in Brazil, and by the Association for Educational Communications and Technology of the United States. She sits on the Executive Committee of the International Association of University Presidents.
